New York Construction Site Accidents | Fatal Construction Site Accident

As mentioned in the previous blog post, cranes can be dangerous business on construction sites. One construction worker was killed and two others were injured after a crane accident. The crane accident took place at a residential construction site in Burnaby, British Columbia.

The crane operator was lowering a steel beam and the boom of the truck failed and it sheared right off. Two workers were pinned and its unclear whether it was the boom or the beam that it was securing.
The crane was fully dismantled to check for problems and to try to determine the cause of the accident.
