Middletown Workplace Accident | 2,000 Pound Barrel Crushes Worker

A 2,000 pound barrel of ink crushes worker at a construction site of Braden Sutphin Ink Co. The worker has been hospitalized after the 1 ton barrel crushed.

The construction worker is Justin Doak and he was just trying to distribute the ink from the 1 ton barrel into five gallon buckets. The barrel slid off the forklift somehow and fell on top of him. Mr. Doak said his hips were felt crushed and his arms were instantly going numb. By the time rescue officials arrived at the scene, the barrel was off of Doak.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are investigating the workplace accident.
